Power supply checklist for weatherproof signage
Look for IP67 housings, metal enclosures, and surge protection when mounting supplies outdoors. Avoid loading a supply above 80% of its rated amperage to reduce heat and extend life.
Use waterproof connectors, heat-shrink, and drip loops to keep moisture away from terminals. If a run exceeds 10 meters, plan for parallel feeds to prevent dim segments. Always isolate low-voltage wiring from high-voltage conduits.
